Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

One of the most impressive scenes was the terrible explosion of a car where were Tony Castellamare’s wife and their twin daughters; after he arrive at the crime scene, he testified the explosion causing the death of his family.

The story's theme is spiritualism, viewed through the lens of past-life regression. Floriano Ferraz is a skeptical sculptor tormented by severe shoulder pain and visions of a woman dying at his feet.
